Hey, Crafters!
Have you ever wanted to write a short story, but you didn’t have any great ideas? Maybe you had a good idea, but it wasn’t a “great” idea. I’ve been there more times than I can count. I’ve also been on the opposite side of that with having a ton of awesome ideas, but no time or energy to get them into finished stories. Because my brain never stops and keeps coming up with new ideas, I’ve decided to share some of them with you. Feel free to use these writing prompts to write your own stories!
Writing level: Late Beginner—Late Intermediate
1. A sick little girl and an angry little boy write letters back and forth without meeting each other in real life.
2. A family vacation turns into an unforgettable road trip involving 2 hours of no stopping and a wild racoon that snuck into the back of the car.
3. The feeding of the five thousand in John chapter 6 told from the little boy’s perspective.
4. The case of the missing Sunday School teacher.
5. What happens if you are too busy to sniff the flowers.
6. A giraffe who doesn’t think she is creative and goes in search of her imagination.
7. If food could talk.
8. Just a girl and her dog in search of a missing ball.
9. Standing up for your faith, even when a peer bullies you.
10. Summer is here: now what?
These prompts are meant to inspire creativity and help you grow in your faith while you are on your writing journey. It can be for a school assignment or just for fun! I hope these prompts and ideas were helpful for you. If not, tell me how I can do better at heartfelt.tales23@gmail.com. Happy writing!!
